It is so wonderful to work with a Mother and Daughther who know exactly what they want when it comes to their vision for the wedding. Anne wanted simple while her mother Carol Anne wanted elegant so combine the two ideas together and you get exactly what this wedding was "Simply Elegant". The decor at the ceremony provided by CORSAIR Floral & Decor was unique and very elegant with a black chandelier of flowers hanging from the gazebo and a circle of flowers embracing the couple on the ground. WOW! The Bride chose colors of ivory, black and apple green for the reception and with the elegant linens and the simplistic floral groupings of tulips pulled the reception together beautifully. When a mother cries (of happiness) when she enters the reception room, I know we have done a fantastic job!!!
"Hey Kerry - Please accept our sincere thanks for your absolutely never ending hard work to make Anne and Justin's wedding perfect. We don't know where you get your energy but we would like to borrow some of it. You were incredible and because of you everything was perfect from beginning to end. Anne and Justin were blown away with all of it, as we all were, and know that it would never have been so lovely without your constant hard work and dedication to their wedding. Again, our sincere thanks for everything. We send you our hightest praise and most sincere thanks and wish you all the best!"

Hi Kerry - We've been back three days now from the honeymoon and I'm getting to some very important tasks like saying thank you to those of you who helped make the wedding so spectacular!
It was truly a dream day - the best day of my life. I know that a lot went into it on everyone's part and I wanted to thank you for your help in all of the things you did for us. I have the feeling that the coordinator's job is often the "unsung hero" role - in that when we show up there are magically table cloths, chairs, decorations, silverware, people doing things they are supposed to do, etc. and we may not often stop to think about how all that actually happens! The greatest thing is knowing that, as a bride, someone who is an expert, is in charge of all of those things so we are able to worry about other things. And, knowing that someone is there when you are a long distance bride is even more important.
So, thank you very much - for all you did to help pull of the day, the details, and the dream. I know it was not always easy and yet somehow when the time came for the actual day, it all went off so smoothly and beautifully. I know you had a big part of that and so I want you to know I appreciate all you did.
I hope you've been able to see some of the pictures (let me know if you haven't and want to) so you can see how well it all went together. Thank you again for being there to help us enjoy such a wonderful day.
Julie Beth

Alli and Mike chose to have an intimate wedding with 40 of there closest friends and family members at Smith Mountain Lake. This was my first wedding on a yacht at Smith Mountain Lake which was very exciting and alot different then the typical wedding ceremony location. The Bride and Groom wanted there day to be very relaxing with lots of fun and a little elegance too. Decorating a small yacht to make it look like a wedding ceremony isn't an easy task but was accomplished beautifully by Corsair Floral & Decor. I am happy to say that we had a beautiful lake ceremony with nobody falling overboard and some beautiful pictures taken by Jeff East and his wife. The Waterfront Country Club served delicious food and the service was everything we asked for - Excellent Job!

Mike & Robin Hall
November 8, 2008
Ceremony & Reception Location: Parkway House of Prayer in Vinton
It was such an honor to be the wedding coordinator for Robin and Mike's wedding. Robin had attended the SML Bridal Event at Bernard's Landing in October with her maid of honor and to her surprise she had won Free wedding coordinating services provided by SML Weddings.
When I first met Robin she was shaking like a leaf because her wedding was only a few weeks away and she wasn't quite sure if she had everything handled to pull off a simple but beautiful ceremony. Robin and Mike had been dating for years and had finally decided to make it official and have a ceremony and reception with their closest friends and relatives. With the help of family and friends Robin and Mike had a beautiful ceremony and I wish the best of luck to both of them.

What happens when a Bride and Groom that live in the Cayman Islands and the Brides family coming from England all join for a wedding at Smith Mountain Lake on the Eve of New Years Eve? A beautiful and touching wedding ceremony with a reception that nobody wants to end.
This was one of my funnest weddings in 2008! I was brought in to relieve some of the stress from the mother of the groom who had planned the whole wedding with the Bride and Groom so far away, she had done an excellent job but needed that extra help to pull it all together and make sure everything went smoothly on wedding day.
Anita had chosen a color pallete of cream and white with hints of brown and green to keep the ceremony and reception areas simple but elegant. The ceremony was held in front of a beautiful fireplace with clusters of candles adding the perfect light and cream chaircovers adding the elegant touch needed for the guests to say Wow! The officiant of the wedding was the uncle of the groom who performed the most memorable and heart warming ceremony I have ever seen - and this was his first time!!! After a delicious buffet dinner the guests danced and danced and danced the night away, there was even a choreographed song that the women dedicated to the Bride with feather boas. The night ended with sparklers as the happy couple left for the evening. Be sure to check out these blogs for more information on this wedding:

"Dear Kerry,
We would like to thank you for all that you did to make our wedding a success. My mother was overwhelmed with how helpful you were. She had originally said that she would do everything that you did. That obviously would not have worked out. We wanted to just thank you once again for all that you did at our wedding."

Angela & Dave Widgeon
Wedding Date: July 26, 2008
Ceremony Location: Main Street Baptist Church - Christiansburg
Reception Location: Event Center - Christiansburg
Caterer: Kathy Cook
Photographer: Christi Austin Photography
DJ: Making Track
I had the pleasure of meeting Angela and Dave when they were getting there engagement pictures done with Christi Austin in her photo studio. At first Angela had decided that she didn't need a wedding coordinator for her wedding due to the large amount of people that were assisting her on her wedding day. A few weeks later I was pleased to receive an email from Angela letting me know that she was in needs of a wedding director for her very special day.
With a Man of Honor, 6 Bridesmaids, 2 Flower Girls, a Best Man, 7 Groomsmen and a Ring Bearer she was definitely in need of a wedding director. Dave is a Children's pastor at Main Street Baptist Church so of course they had a huge wedding guest count of approximately 400 guests including a full Children's Choir that performed during the ceremony as well. The ceremony was very beautiful and the reception was all about FUN! Due to the large amount of kids attending the ceremony they set up a special children's table with there own cupcake table, face painter, balloon artist and a blow up jumpey for outside. It was a beautiful day for a very beautiful couple!!!
